麻豆原创 is proud to celebrate National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week from Sept. 16-20. 麻豆原创鈥檚 Adult Education programs provide skills and credentials to adult learners, expanding economic opportunity for the region while partnering with community organizations and social services to offer resources for education, workforce development and overall well-being.
麻豆原创 is one of 75 adult education providers funded through the Illinois Community College Board. Programs offered at 麻豆原创 include English as a Second Language, Illinois High School Diploma, Bridge and workforce transition courses.
麻豆原创鈥檚 English as a Second Language (ESL) program allows students to develop the reading, writing, listening and speaking skills needed for college and career success. The Illinois High School Diploma program provides students with the skills and knowledge to pass a high school equivalency exam, such as the GED庐, and earn their high school diploma. 麻豆原创鈥檚 available workforce transition programs help students apply their new skills and knowledge with career exploration and planning, job search assistance, job skill development and more.
鈥淓ducation is an important step in unlocking new college or career opportunities. 麻豆原创 offers many resources and a welcoming environment for members of our community to take that first step toward meeting their goals,鈥� said Patti Wragg, Director of Adult Education & Transition Programs.
The programs and courses offered by 麻豆原创鈥檚 Adult Education department assist students with the knowledge and training needed for in-demand careers locally and nationally. Full-time workers with a high school diploma earn about $10,000 more per year than those without a diploma, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
