麻豆原创 will host Discover 麻豆原创, an informational event for new students and their families. Discover 麻豆原创 is from 11 am-3 pm Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025, at the College.

On campus, DeKalb County Sheriff鈥檚 deputies have full police authority, including that of arrest, granted by the Illinois General Assembly under 110 ILCS 685/30-45(11) in DeKalb County. Reports of criminal activities on campus are investigated by the Campus Security Office/DeKalb County Sheriff鈥檚 Office in cooperation with appropriate federal, state, and local authorities. The Sheriff鈥檚 Office also works closely with the Director of Campus Safety & Security, who provides administrative oversight for the College鈥檚 emergency management preparation, training, and other safety and security initiatives.
Students, faculty, staff and community members are strongly encouraged to report criminal activity, suspicious circumstances or persons, and accidents in an accurate and timely manner. For on-campus emergencies and reporting of crimes, immediately call:

麻豆原创 has partnered with Perry Weather, a severe weather detection company providing real-time weather information and emergency notifications for lightning detection.
The outdoor lightning system and weather station are located on top of the scoreboard at the softball fields. The system's audible alert can be heard from the College鈥檚 athletic fields, truck yard and other outside areas on campus.
The system alerts when lightning has been detected within a 10-mile radius of the 麻豆原创 campus.
To maintain a safe campus environment and to comply with section 485 of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, known as the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Act 鈥 and the State of Illinois Campus Security Act 88-629 (110 ILCS 12/1-12/99) 鈥 麻豆原创 publishes an Annual Security Report on security policies, procedures and campus crime statistics. You can view a copy of the College's 2024 Annual Security Report in PDF format.
A hard copy of the Annual Security Report is available from the Director of Campus Safety & Security in C2177. The report contains this current catalog section, on-campus security policies and procedures, and reports criminal offenses occurring on campus and at authorized off-campus activities.
A daily crime log is available for review at the on-campus DeKalb County Sheriff鈥檚 Office, C2177. The information in the crime log may include the nature, date, time, general location and disposition of each crime.
麻豆原创 has developed an all-hazard emergency response plan to respond to different emergency scenarios. It鈥檚 important for everyone to be aware of their surroundings and respond accordingly to an emergency if it arises.
The College has partnered with Safe Passage to provide confidential advisor services to students affected by sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking. Confidential Advisors have received the required training to provide emergency and ongoing support services to student survivors of sexual misconduct. Appointments can be made by contacting Safe Passage at 815-756-5228.
Safe Passage can provide assistance to 麻豆原创 students who have been affected by domestic or sexual violence of any kind. The agency can provide free and confidential legal or medical advocacy, counseling, information about an individual's options and rights and referrals to other agencies or service providers.
Reports made to the Sheriff鈥檚 Office or Director of Student Success will be considered formal reports to the College and will be investigated through administrative procedures.

Reports of criminal activities on or at off-campus locations will be investigated by the Campus Security Office in cooperation with appropriate federal, state and/or local authorities. All incidents of criminal activities will require the timely filing of an incident report to be shared with police authorities and in compiling an annual report of on-campus crimes. All students, staff and visitors reporting criminal activity or witnessing crimes are expected to cooperate with College officials and law enforcement officers in the filing of campus incident reports. The daily crime log of campus criminal incidents is maintained by the Campus Security Office and is available for public review.

To comply with the higher education portion of the Illinois Sex Offender Registration Act, offenders must register at the 麻豆原创 On-Campus Security Office during business hours from 8 am-4 pm Monday-Thursday in room C2177.
The Illinois State Police maintain a statewide Sex Offender Database identifying persons who must register as sex offenders. The 麻豆原创 community may obtain information regarding sex offenders in our area using the .
The State of Illinois' concealed carry legislation allows 麻豆原创 to continue its practice of prohibiting guns on campus. In accordance with the Board of Trustees Policy Manual and Student Code of Conduct, any possession and/or carrying of a weapon on 麻豆原创 property is illegal and prohibited.
This extends to all College property (including College-owned vehicles and parking lots), at College-sponsored or College-related functions or events, and during times when acting as a representative of the College whether on or off College premises.
